Dashbuilt Ultra Low Seat bases are designed to be welded directly to your steel floor, yielding the lowest possible seating position. Whether you need the seat that low or you've got sliders in an endurance car to accommodate different sized drivers, this is a great solution. You can set these to any position or angle and weld them into place. They are infinitely adjustable with holes on 1/2" centers. They include tools to lock the bases together as one unit for ease of fabrication (see video of install).
 
The benefit of installing these bases over a custom square tube seat frame:
* Cost- Potentially the same cost or cheaper once the fabrication time of building a frame is taken into account, especially if you're building in the same amount of adjustment.
 
*Quality- These bases are cnc machined from 1018 cold roll steel with tons of m8x1.25 holes, and spacing options for sliders and side mounts. This means strong, precise, with equal spaced 1/2" adjustments.
 
* Lower- Unless you recess a square tube frame into the floor, this option is lower. Whatever tubing you'd use to fabricate a frame would be larger than these 1/2" cnc'd pieces.
 
* Adjustment- Often times with a square tube frame you only build in one or a few sets of holes. If there are then any changes with seat width, side mounts, or sliders, then you'll need to redrill all new holes.
